Bill Gates Nuke Salesmen Scheduled for Minerals Committee – Aug 12th in Laramie

On Aug 12 & 13 the WY State Legislature Minerals Interim Committee will be meeting in Laramie at the UW School of Energy Resources, Energy Innovation Center, Encana Auditorium (campus map here).  Both days begin at 8:30AM.  Agenda and Meeting Materials are below.

The Bill Gates Nuke Salesmen are scheduled to speak on Thursday, August 12th at around 12:45pm.  Public comments are scheduled after them.

Note – as of this printing there are no hand-outs, bill drafts or any materials provided for agenda item #7 Nuclear Issues below.  Interested citizens should check the Aug 12/13 Minerals Committee Meeting Details/Meeting Materials link(s) to see if any materials are posted in the 11th hour.  We suspect a bill draft will appear to make changes to WY laws codified from 2020 HB0074/HEA60.  TerraPower wants the word “modular” removed because their reactors are not modular, and they want the maximum megawatts changed from 340 to 500 megawatts.  They likely have dreamt up even more ways in which they believe Wyoming should tailor our laws to satisfy Bill Gates and Washington/Oregon’s global carbon-free energy vision – at the expense of Wyoming coal, Wyoming’s coal power plants and Wyoming jobs.

Citizens need to know that the Nuke guys are basically be given the red carpet treatment by many legislators.
