Last Thursday, in a brazen display of Democratic sinistry, the U.S. House gutted one bill, that had already been passed/approved by the Senate, and loaded it with two voting bills.
HR5746 – the NASA Enhanced Use Leasing Extension Act of 2021 was introduced in the House on 10/27/21; Passed out of the House on 12/8/21; and then Passed out of the Senate on 12/14/21.
Then on Jan 13, 2022 the House FULLY amended it – they GUTTED THE ENTIRE BILL and loaded it with 1) the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and 2) the Freedom to Vote Act. As you can see at the link provided above, they have also changed the name listed for the bill now to H.R.5746 – Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act.
Thus, H.R.5746 needs to be completely killed ASAP.
