Someone is finally stepping up and putting on a bona fide Townhall Meeting to educate citizens and take questions on the Occidental land purchase that the Governor and State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) have been discussing (behind closed doors).

The SLIB board has postponed their proposed meeting on the land deal until next week. This deal is a riverboat gamble. I’m going to be having a live Facebook townhall on Thursday at 6:30 to talk about why it is wrong for our state. Some people have asked how they can get involved to stop this. The best way would be to say something during public comment at that meeting. Once the time is announced, I will post it here. It would also be helpful to get the word out about what is happening. It’s an important moment for the future of our state.
