So Liz received an award from the Leon Panetta Institute for Public Policy, for her “loyalty to country over party” (Cowboy State Daily, Nov 8, 2021).
So what kind of a bar must Liz ascend to receive such recognition? Let’s take a brief look at the “loyalty to country” of the founder of this Institute, Leon Panetta:
⇒ Panatta’s early history included working closely with members of the US’s largest Marxist organization, Democratic Socialists of America (Trevor Louden, June 18, 2011).
⇒ In 1983, then Congressman, Leon Panetta, placed a tribute in the Congressional Record to two Longtime Communists (Trevor Loudon, June 14, 2011).
⇒ In 2011 Panetta revealed the name of the Navy SEAL unit that carried out the Osama bin Laden raid and also discussed classified information designated as “top secret” at an awards ceremony attended by “Zero Dark Thirty” Hollywood filmmaker Mark Boal. Panetta also identified Seal Team Six on a CBS 60 Minutes episode. Less than 2 months later, a Chinook helicopter was shot down by the Taliban in Afghanistan – killing 3 soldiers, including 15 members of Seal Team Six (Breitbart, May 16, 2017).
⇒ In March 2012 Defense Secretary Leon Panetta declared to Senator Sessions that the military can take action authorized by the United Nations or NATO before, or whether it’s not, authorized by the U.S. Congress. (Defense Secretary Panetta tells Senator Sessions that military gets its authority from UN or NATO, March 9, 2012, Youtube. Embedded below).
In response to Senator Sessions reaction to this outrageous constitutional violation, Panetta was quick to point out however, that he is not a partisan – proving his own loyalty to international governance over country as well as party.
And so there you have it: This is the standard that neocon Liz Cheney of Virginia was held to receive this award. Way to go Liz – no one in Wyoming is impressed, nor surprised. But it’s always good to have a fresh reminder of the swamp that Liz thrives in, at the expense of Wyoming’s credibility and congressional representation.
