On June 2, 2021 Wyomingites were told by Governor Gordon: “Through the joint efforts of the U.S. Department of Energy, TerraPower, and Rocky Mountain Power, Wyoming has been selected as the site for the construction and operation of an advanced nuclear power plant.” Gordon emphasized that this was monumental and game-changing for Wyoming. He also acknowledged that WY House Bill 0074 Small modular nuclear reactor permitting, that passed in 2020, is what made this possible. This public announcement was made via Wyoming PBS.
No literature or documentation whatsoever has been provided to the public at this point on this issue. We will fill this void and keep this page updated regularly with anything that we believe will help Wyomingites understand the issue and all the moving parts.
